# Countdown vs HOLD

The clearest difference is ads: Countdown at none against HOLD's shown. HOLD's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HOLD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ships an update every 11 days, HOLD every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
