# Sona vs GridNote SLP

The clearest difference is ads: GridNote SLP at none against Sona's shown. Sona's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sona sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and GridNote SLP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Sona against 5.0 for GridNote SLP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sona has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
