# Lambda vs Streamscription

The clearest difference is update cadence: Streamscription at every 10 days against Lambda's every 5 weeks. Streamscription also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lambda ships an update every 5 weeks, Streamscription every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
