# Brobuddy vs Hoop Gangs

The clearest difference is rating: Hoop Gangs at 5.0 against Brobuddy's 4.5. Hoop Gangs also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Brobuddy's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brobuddy sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Hoop Gangs sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hoop Gangs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brobuddy has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brobuddy ships an update fortnightly, Hoop Gangs every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
