# BAR vs STARK

The clearest difference is update cadence: STARK at every 3 days against BAR's every 8 days. STARK also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BAR sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and STARK sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BAR ships an update every 8 days, STARK every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
