# Tempo vs Focal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Focal at weekly against Tempo's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tempo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Focal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tempo ships an update every 2 months, Focal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
