# Matcha vs MPEdie

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MPEdie at none against Matcha's 1. MPEdie also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Matcha sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. MPEdie asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Matcha against 4.9 for MPEdie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MPEdie has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Matcha ships an update monthly, MPEdie every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
