# Birthday vs TrueHands

The clearest difference is ads: TrueHands at none against Birthday's shown. Birthday's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Birthday sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TrueHands sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Birthday ships an update every 8 days, TrueHands every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
