# Shiftreel vs Downburst

The clearest difference is update cadence: Downburst at every 8 days against Shiftreel's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiftreel sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Downburst sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shiftreel ships an update every 5 weeks, Downburst every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
