# SpecPad vs MacroGram

The clearest difference is update cadence: MacroGram at every 4 days against SpecPad's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpecPad sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and MacroGram sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpecPad ships an update every 10 days, MacroGram every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
