# Vidpress vs HD Status

The clearest difference is ads: HD Status at none against Vidpress's shown. HD Status also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). Vidpress's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vidpress sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and HD Status sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vidpress ships an update every 5 days, HD Status every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
