NTFY me sends a push notification to your iPhone from a single HTTP request - a shell script, a cron job, a CI pipeline, a NAS, a smart-home rule, anything that can make an HTTP call. No account and no setup: it works out of the box with ntfy-me.com, a free public ntfy server run by Legitimate LLC, the app's publisher. QUICK START 1. Open the app and tap + to subscribe to a topic. Pick a hard-to-guess name (or tap Random): anyone who knows it can post to it. 2. From any computer, run: curl -d "Backup finished" https://ntfy-me.com/your-topic-name 3. The notification arrives on your iPhone. Already run your own ntfy server? Point a topic or the whole app at it. Add upstream-base-url: "https://ntfy-me.com" to your server config to get instant push in this app. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Subscribe to any number of topics, on any number of servers - Copy ready-made curl commands and the full publish URL for each topic - Encrypt a topic end to end with a password, so the server only sees ciphertext - Give a topic your own name, so "server-alerts" can read "Home server" - See each topic's name, full address, and notification count at a glance - Receive messages with titles, priorities, emoji tags, and click actions - Open attachments, and choose whether they download automatically or on a size limit - Make priority 4 and 5 messages Time Sensitive, so they break through Focus and the Notification Summary when you allow it - See why a topic isn't getting notifications, and check this phone's push setup in Settings - Choose how long notifications are kept, and search a topic's whole history - Reach read-protected topics with per-server username and password - Works on iPhone and iPad ABOUT THIS CLIENT This is a community-maintained fork of the official ntfy iOS app, focused on fixing iOS bugs and keeping the client current. Recent work includes telling you when and why notifications can't arrive, Time Sensitive delivery for urgent messages, notification buttons that work from a Mac's banner, and paged history with search for long topics. Bug reports and feature requests are welcome and get read - see the support link below. ntfy itself is created and maintained by Philipp C. Heckel. The original iOS app was written by Copephobia. This client is MIT-licensed, like its upstream, and remains open source. NTFY me and ntfy-me.com are not affiliated with or endorsed by the ntfy project or ntfy.sh. PRIVACY AND TERMS The app has no accounts, no advertising, no tracking, and no in-app purchases. Push delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, which needs a device token. Messages sent through ntfy-me.com stay on the server for 12 hours so the app can fetch them.
