# SharedCountdowns vs Countdown

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Countdown at 17.0 against SharedCountdowns's 26.5. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SharedCountdowns sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
