# Trance vs Pomonote

The clearest difference is ads: Trance at none against Pomonote's shown. Trance also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trance sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Pomonote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trance ships an update every 2 days, Pomonote every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
