# Block&Read vs Flock

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flock at every 3 days against Block&Read's every 2 weeks. Flock also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block&Read sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Flock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Block&Read ships an update every 2 weeks, Flock every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
