# Block&Read vs Solys

The clearest difference is ads: Block&Read at none against Solys's shown. Solys's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block&Read sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Solys sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.59 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Block&Read ships an update every 2 weeks, Solys every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
