# Minimalist vs Task Focus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Minimalist at weekly against Task Focus's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minimalist sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Task Focus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minimalist ships an update weekly, Task Focus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
