# EarRest vs Chimer

The clearest difference is ads: EarRest at none against Chimer's shown. EarRest also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EarRest sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Chimer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EarRest ships an update every 2 days, Chimer every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
