# Sacred Scriptorium vs Jot

The clearest difference is update cadence: Jot at every 3 days against Sacred Scriptorium's fortnightly. Sacred Scriptorium's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sacred Scriptorium sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Jot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sacred Scriptorium ships an update fortnightly, Jot every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
