# Redstring vs Hadex Gate

The clearest difference is ads: Hadex Gate at none against Redstring's shown. Redstring's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Redstring sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hadex Gate sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Redstring ships an update every 9 days, Hadex Gate every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
