# Redstring vs Henge

The clearest difference is ads: Henge at none against Redstring's shown. On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Redstring sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Henge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Redstring ships an update every 9 days, Henge every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
