# Span vs Tower Builder

The clearest difference is ads: Span at none against Tower Builder's shown. Tower Builder's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Span sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tower Builder sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Span ships an update every 5 days, Tower Builder every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
