# SnapNote vs When

The clearest difference is update cadence: When at every 4 days against SnapNote's fortnightly. When also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and When sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapNote ships an update fortnightly, When every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
