# Tacticam vs Lucent

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lucent at every 10 days against Tacticam's every 3 weeks. Lucent also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tacticam sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Lucent sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tacticam ships an update every 3 weeks, Lucent every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
