# Refind vs markdown notes

The clearest difference is device support: markdown notes at 4 against Refind's 2. Refind's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Refind sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and markdown notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
