# CastLoop vs Amber

The clearest difference is ads: Amber at none against CastLoop's shown. CastLoop's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CastLoop sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and Amber sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CastLoop ships an update weekly, Amber fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
