# Magic Motion vs Monster Party

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Magic Motion at none against Monster Party's 16. Magic Motion also leads on ratings volume (84 vs 6). Monster Party's advantage is rating (2.7 vs 2.4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Party sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Magic Motion asks for nothing beyond the download.

Monster Party holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Motion has 84 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Magic Motion's written reviews are positive against 17% of Monster Party's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Motion ships an update every 3 months, Monster Party monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
