MaskID helps you redact IDs, passports, PDFs and photos before sharing them. Hide only the details a recipient does not need, then review the protected copy before sending it. PROTECT WHAT YOU SHARE Cover ID numbers, addresses, signatures, phone numbers, email addresses, bank details and other personal information. Keep required details visible and add a watermark to state the purpose of a copy. REVIEW ON YOUR DEVICE • Capture or import from Camera, Photos and Files. • On-device OCR suggests details that may be sensitive and can work without an internet connection. • Review every suggestion and adjust each mask yourself. You decide what remains visible. • Prepare multi-page PDFs, images, contracts, pay slips, forms and travel documents. • Optional direct import from Google Drive and Dropbox. CHECK THE EXPORTED COPY • Export a flattened, rasterized PDF or image. • Check the export for hidden text and recoverable layers. • Remove common GPS, camera and timestamp metadata from supported exports. • Share the protected copy, not the original. Checks help you review an export, but cannot confirm that you selected every sensitive area. Review every page and the recipient before sharing. KEEP DOCUMENTS PRIVATE • Store documents in an encrypted local library. • Protect the local Vault with Face ID or PIN and AES-GCM encryption. Vault documents stay on your device. • Core protection works without an account. • Optional MaskID Pro iCloud sync stores complete restorable packages for documents outside the Vault in your private CloudKit database. FREE AND PRO MaskID Free includes manual masks, on-device OCR suggestions, protected export and the local Vault. Free supports up to 10 documents processed cumulatively. MaskID Pro adds unlimited processing, batch tools, additional mask styles, image controls, purpose workflows and optional cloud features. Hertzly is a speaker cleaner and audio toolkit for iPhone. Play cleaning tones, check speakers, generate test signals, and measure approximate sound level — all on this device. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Clear — play a high-frequency cleaning cycle intended to help shake moisture or debris from speaker grills. Results vary. It does not repair hardware and does not guarantee water or dust removal. • Speaker Test — play a test sweep and see an on-device frequency-response estimate. For personal reference only, not a lab measurement. • Generator — sine, sweep, square, triangle, sawtooth, white/pink noise, and burst, with frequency, volume, left/right output, and an optional auto-stop timer. • dB Meter — approximate sound-level readings with the microphone. Informational only, not a calibrated meter, and not for safety, workplace, or legal use. • Presets — built-in test tones plus custom presets saved on this iPhone. TRY EACH TOOL ONCE Each tool includes one complimentary use: one cleaning cycle, one Speaker Test, one Generator playback, one dB Meter session, and one custom preset. After that, that tool requires Hertzly Premium. HERTZLY PREMIUM — IN-APP PURCHASE (OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION) Hertzly Premium is not included with the free download. It is an auto-renewable Weekly or Yearly subscription sold separately through Apple. Premium unlocks unlimited use of every tool, extra generator options, custom presets, and background playback. Microphone is used only while Speaker Test or dB Meter is running. Audio stays on this iPhone, is not uploaded, and is not saved as a recording. Hertzly is not a medical device and is not a professional sound-level meter. Start at a low volume. Do not hold the phone against your ear during playback or cleaning. SUBSCRIPTIONS Hertzly Premium is available as an auto-renewable subscription: • Weekly • Yearly Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: MaskID at every 3 days against Water Eject's weekly. Water Eject's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaskID sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Water Eject sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MaskID against 5.0 for Water Eject. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Water Eject has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
MaskID ships an update every 3 days, Water Eject weekly. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
