# Hive vs PadCurrent

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hive at every 2 weeks against PadCurrent's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PadCurrent sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hive ships an update every 2 weeks, PadCurrent monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
