# ShadowFlow vs Ascent

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: ShadowFlow at 17.0 against Ascent's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowFlow sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Ascent sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShadowFlow ships an update every 5 days, Ascent every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
