# Vault Notes vs Mado

The clearest difference is update cadence: Vault Notes at every 6 days against Mado's fortnightly. Vault Notes also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vault Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Mado sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vault Notes ships an update every 6 days, Mado fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
