# Grava vs Calorie Macro Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Grava at free against Calorie Macro Tracker's freemium. Calorie Macro Tracker's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.5). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grava sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Calorie Macro Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Grava against 5.0 for Calorie Macro Tracker. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 2 respectively.

Grava ships an update every 2 weeks, Calorie Macro Tracker every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
