# GemShorts vs Loxarien

The clearest difference is update cadence: GemShorts at every 2 weeks against Loxarien's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GemShorts sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Loxarien sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GemShorts ships an update every 2 weeks, Loxarien monthly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
