# BibleSwipe vs First Scroll

The clearest difference is ads: First Scroll at none against BibleSwipe's shown. First Scroll also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). BibleSwipe's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 60%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BibleSwipe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and First Scroll sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BibleSwipe holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BibleSwipe has 122 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of BibleSwipe's written reviews are positive against 60% of First Scroll's.

BibleSwipe ships an update every 10 days, First Scroll every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
