# Simple Weight Log vs Stepwise

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple Weight Log at every 5 days against Stepwise's every 3 weeks. Simple Weight Log also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Weight Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stepwise sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Weight Log ships an update every 5 days, Stepwise every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
