# GemStep vs Stepsee

The clearest difference is update cadence: GemStep at daily against Stepsee's every 10 days. Stepsee's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GemStep sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Stepsee sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GemStep ships an update daily, Stepsee every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
