# Reader by Bookmark vs Scrollout

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scrollout at weekly against Reader by Bookmark's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reader by Bookmark sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Scrollout sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reader by Bookmark ships an update fortnightly, Scrollout weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
