# markdown notes vs Diple

The clearest difference is monetization model: Diple at free against markdown notes's freemium. Diple also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). markdown notes's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. markdown notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Diple sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
