# LearnKata vs Notebook AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: LearnKata at 83% against Notebook AI's 0%. LearnKata also leads on ratings volume (73 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Notebook AI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LearnKata sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Notebook AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notebook AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LearnKata has 73 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of LearnKata's written reviews are positive against 0% of Notebook AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LearnKata ships an update fortnightly, Notebook AI every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
