Crossword Lane

Crossword Lane is an arrow-word crossword you play as a duel. The clues sit inside the grid, the letters are dealt to you, and a computer opponent takes turns with you on the same board. When the grid is full, the higher score wins. You never type. Each turn you hold five letter tiles drawn from the puzzle's own answers, and the question is where they belong. HOW A TURN PLAYS • Drag tiles from your rack onto the grid and move them around until you're sure • Tap a clue cell to read the full clue; some clues are pictures • Confirm: every correct letter scores +1, a wrong one costs a point and comes back to your rack • Complete a word for bonus points, or get five letters right in one turn for an extra bonus • Then watch your opponent move EASY TO PICK UP • No timer and no turn limit: think as long as you like • Every puzzle gets finished, and finishing one always unlocks the next • Your first puzzle walks you through the game step by step • One hand, portrait, drag and drop YOUR OPPONENT • The computer plays the same grid from the same pool of letters • Some puzzles bring a tougher opponent; a flame marks them on the puzzle map WHEN YOU'RE STUCK • Letter: pick a letter from your rack and it moves to its correct cell • Word: shows an answer's letters faintly; placing them is still up to you • Swap trades letters you can't use • Extra letter opens a sixth slot in your rack for the rest of the puzzle • Free assists refresh every day KEEP GOING • 1 to 3 stars per puzzle, four mastery goals, a daily streak and lifetime stats • A finished puzzle stays on your map with its stars and score • A half-finished puzzle is waiting when you come back • Puzzles in English and Turkish; the puzzle language is set separately from the app language FREE TO PLAY Every puzzle can be played for free. The first 30 puzzles have no limit; after that, the free version lets you play 5 puzzles a day, and a puzzle you've started can always be finished. There is no account to create. The free version shows ads on the menus and between puzzles; there are no banners on the puzzle screen, and no puzzle ever requires watching an ad. SUBSCRIPTIONS (OPTIONAL) • No Ads — Monthly or Yearly. Removes banner and full-screen ads; the daily puzzle limit and hints stay as in the free version. • Premium+ — Monthly or Yearly.
