# MyScanner vs Intentions

The clearest difference is ads: Intentions at none against MyScanner's shown. Intentions also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyScanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Intentions sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyScanner ships an update every 5 days, Intentions every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
