# RoofRecon vs HailScore Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: RoofRecon at free with in-app purchases against HailScore Pro's subscription. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RoofRecon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $49.00 per month and HailScore Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for RoofRecon against 5.0 for HailScore Pro. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively.

RoofRecon ships an update monthly, HailScore Pro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
