# TV Remote vs Zapp

The clearest difference is rating: TV Remote at 5.0 against Zapp's 1.0. TV Remote also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). Zapp's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Zapp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Remote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively.

TV Remote ships an update every 4 days, Zapp every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
