# Storm Snap vs ThunderCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: ThunderCam at every 3 days against Storm Snap's every 2 weeks. ThunderCam also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Storm Snap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ThunderCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Storm Snap ships an update every 2 weeks, ThunderCam every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
