# 5sec. vs VlogCam

The clearest difference is ads: VlogCam at none against 5sec.'s shown. 5sec.'s advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5sec. sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and VlogCam sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

5sec. ships an update weekly, VlogCam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
