# BlockStep vs Pedometer

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Pedometer at 17.0 against BlockStep's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockStep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
