# Notes vs Ream

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ream at weekly against Notes's every 3 weeks. Notes's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ream sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes ships an update every 3 weeks, Ream weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
