# Pomodoist vs Alcove

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pomodoist at every 2 days against Alcove's weekly. Pomodoist also leads on device support (5 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pomodoist sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Alcove sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomodoist ships an update every 2 days, Alcove weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
