# Longbox vs Emaki

The clearest difference is update cadence: Emaki at daily against Longbox's every 3 days. Longbox's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Longbox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Emaki sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Longbox ships an update every 3 days, Emaki daily. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
