# LOCKD vs Screen Time Control

The clearest difference is ads: LOCKD at none against Screen Time Control's shown. Screen Time Control's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LOCKD sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year and Screen Time Control sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LOCKD ships an update every 3 weeks, Screen Time Control every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 8, 2026.
